Lindsay MacAusland RVN, LCGI, C-SQP, Cert FN, MBVNA
Lindsay qualified in 2003 and joined Avondale Veterinary Group in 2004 as Head Veterinary Nurse after working in various practices for over 19 years, since then she has gone on to gain her City & Guilds Licentiateship in Veterinary Nursing in 2008 and her Certificate in Feline Nursing in 2012. Her other qualifications include Pet Health Counsellor, Pet Insurance Advisor and C-SQP (Animal Medicines Advisor).
Lindsay now manages the practice on a daily basis.
Lindsay enjoys all aspects of Veterinary Nursing and has a keen interest in Feline Medicine and Feline Nursing.
Outside work Lindsay enjoys music, concerts and walking in the country with her dog.
Jacqui Daly- Practice Administrator
Jacqui's background is in HR, originally working in law firms and more recently within construction and engineering. Jacqui dealt with all aspects of HR from recruitment and employee development to dismissal, including disciplinary and grievance proceedings.
Jacqui enjoys watching ice hockey and is a season ticket holder for a local team called The Braehead Clan. She attended a New York Rangers game at Madison Square Gardens which was amazing. It’s is her dream to one day attend The Winter Classic. Her spare timeis pretty much taken up with my boxer Pedro and his many behavioural issues but when she does have spare time Jacqui enjosy watching ice hockey.

Dr Matthew Chapman BSc (Hons), BVMS,MRCVS
Matthew studied Biochemistry at The University of Liverpool before undertaking his Veterinary Medicine degree at The University of Glasgow.
Matthew spent his first four years in mixed practice in rural Angus. During this time his interests in small animal practice developed and he moved to join Avondale Vet Group in 2012 to work on the small animal team.
He enjoys all aspects of being in small animal general practice. On the surgical side he enjoys the challenge of orthopaedic surgery and he also has a keen interest in geriatric feline medicine, dermatology and cardiology. He is married to Hannah and they have two sons, Samuel and Reuben as well as two mischievous cats, Gus and MaCavity. In his spare time he plays the saxophone, enjoys reading, gardening and genealogy and is involved in many activities in his local church.
Dr Angela Buchan BVMS, MRCVS
Angela graduated from Glasgow University and spent the first 4 years working in mixed practice in Falkirk and the lake district, before returning to Glasgow in 2008 to concentrate on small animal practice. She joined Avondale in 2015 as a part time member of the team. She has an interest in surgery and diagnostic imaging, but enjoys the varied case load a busy small animal practice brings. Outside of work she is kept busy by her 2 boys, 2 cats, 1 Labrador and 1 messy husband!
Dr Arletta Kotlicka MRCVS
Arletta graduated from Wroclaw University of Environmental And Life Sciences (Poland). Arletta has been working with small and furry exotic animals in her home country. She joined Avondale Veterinary Group in May 2018. Among many interests in veterinary field she mostly enjoys cases that includes surgical approach, but also dermatology and oncology. In her free time she enjoys reading books, drawing and spending time outside with her wee doggy.
Dr Karen Innes BVMS, MRCVS
Karen joined the team at Avondale vets after graduating from the University of Glasgow. While studying at university Karen continued with her part-time job at a busy riding school assisting with lessons and caring for the horses. She also gained invaluable experience working in a small animal practice as a nursing assistant whilst studying. Karen enjoys all aspects of equine work in particular lameness investigation and treatment of sarcoids and colic. She also has a keen interest in small animal internal medicine particularly endocrinology. Karen is looking forward to the challenge of splitting her time between equine and small animal work. Outside of work Karen can be found riding her own horse Myah and walking her Labrador Sam.
Dr Trish Wedderburn BScAgric, BVSc, MRCVS
Trish Wedderburn is a small animal vet from South Africa. Trish has two adult children, Robbie a wildlife documentary film maker and a daughter Tafz a High School teacher of English. Trish loves challenges and has run Comrades 89km race, swum the Midmar Mile and cycled the Argus. (Important events in South Africa) Her biggest passion is Cheetah conservation at Cheetah Outreach Somerset West and has been part of the team conducting the Cape Town Urban Caracal Project. Current pet is a former bush cat called Frog.
Nikki Stubbs RVN, NCert(AnBeh) Senior Veterinary Nurse, MBVNA
Nikki has worked in various practices in Glasgow over the past 15 years and enjoys all aspects of Veterinary Nursing, her focus is Veterinary Behaviour and she has since gone on and qualified with a European Post Graduate Certificate in Animal Behaviour in 2016. Nikki enjoys the Nursing clinics in the practice and is also responsible for the running of the weekly Puppy Socialisation Classes. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her little girl, family, friends and her 2 dogs.
Emma Guy RVN
My name is Emma and I have a Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Biology. I love being a nurse as I get to look after the animals that visit the practice and treat each one as if they were my own. I also enjoy chatting to the clients and hearing all the stories about their mischievous pets. I aim to provide the best nursing care and advice that I can. I am also a clinical coach and along with my colleagues, help to train student nurses and vets.
In my spare time I enjoy going for long walks with my husband and spaniel cross Rosie and spending time with my friends.
Alan Lennox- Reception Supervisor
Alan was born and bred in Strathaven and comes from a farming background. He is married with 4 children.
Alan enjoys playing the accordion and listening to music and especially loves long walks in the country with his Black Labrador Bella and travelling the country in his caravan.
Abigail Miller- Recptionist
Abigail first came to Avondale vets for work experience in 2014. Abigail started as a full time veterinary student in July 2017. Her favourite part of the job is post operative animal care. Outside of work Abigail enjoys teaching highland dancing. Abigail is also a member of East Kilbride amateur musical society and this year will preforming in the wizard of oz.
