How to Find Us

Travelling from Hamilton
Avondale Veterinary Group is situated within the new Strathaven Rural Centre just off the A723 Hamilton Road.
If travelling south on the A723 from Hamilton continue past the staggered junction marked Chapelton and Glassford continue along the road ½ mile and you will see a large blue warehouse with L.S.Smellie and Sons. Ltd on the left hand side, take the turning into the Strathaven Rural Centre.  If you miss the entrance there is a roundabout approximately ⅓ mile along the road where you can safely double back

Travelling from Strathaven
From Strathaven follow the signs for A723 Hamilton, continue heading for Hamilton, go past Strathaven Hotel (on your left) to the roundabout, go straight through the roundabout and continue out of the 30mph limit.  You will see Strathaven Rugby Club pitches (on your right) DO NOT turn right at the Strathaven Rugby club sign (sat nav will guide you this way) continue another 200 metres along the A723 and you will see the entrance to the Strathaven Rural Centre on your right.

Pedestrian access

Head out of Strathaven on the pavement on the same side as the Ford garage, continue along to the rugby club sign and head down the side road  between the houses and the rugby club. Follow the road down past the old railway bridge and access is on your left. This is a short cut by foot only to the practice.

Avondale Vets - Opening Hours

Farm and Equine
Our normal office hours for the farm and equine departments are 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday.  The main surgery is open 8am to 7pm Mon-Fri and 8.30am to 12 noon Saturday to collect drugs or make an appointment please telephone 01357 520251.
